Ultrasonic Transducer

SonoQ's ultrasonic transducers are designed for various applications. Each sensor is specified and characterized and can be modified to any customer application to achieve safe and reliable measurement results.

  • For measuring in gases

    SQ-UST-G-Serie

    For ultrasonic measurement applications in gas a specific acoustic matching material to enhance the transmission ability of ultrasonic signal in gas medium.

  • For measuring in liquids

    SQ-UST-L-Serie

    For ultrasonic measurement applications in liquids a specific acoustic matching material is needed to enhance the transmission ability of ultrasonic signals. To decrease the distortion by enviornmental factors and to increase the product sensitivity effectively the design need a closed and liquid pressure resistant construction to achieve a direct liquid contact.

  • For level applications

    Ultrasonic Transducer for measuring through metal, plastic or other materials

    To measure with ultrasonic through a wall, a special design of the sensor is needed to mount the transducer on the wall material. With the unique contact material from SonoQ it is easy to mount the transducer on outside of the wall. The SonoQ transducer design considers for different opening angles and working frequencies:

    • The type of coupling as immersion (highest performance)
    • Dry coupling (easy handling if canisters are changed, but limited detectable level minimum) or glued-on

    For standard application there are two types of transducer available from stock:

    • 2 MHz with 10mm aperture and dry coupling (SQ-A1)
    • 2 MHz with 10mm aperture and tape fixation (SQ-G1)

      Important Note:
      Because the transducer plays an important role to the quality of the level meter, generally application specific designs are possible. In that case, please contact the distributor or manufacturer for further consulting.
